On Friday 30th November 2007, Pillar hosted the Securities and Exchange Commission of Thailand at our Sydney office. Members of the delegation, from various Thai asset management firms and fund administration service providers, were visiting Australia to learn about fund administration services and Pillar was pleased to be able to provide first hand experience and information to our visitors. On Thursday 26th July 2007, a number of staff employed by the New South Wales Government were awarded the NSW Service Medallion. The award is in recognition of meritorious service of 40 years (or more) as an officer employed by the New South Wales Government. The Illawarra Mercury recently wrote an article about Graduates from the University of Wollongong that have successfully undertaken Graduate Programs with local businesses within the region. Each year the Institute of Public Administration Australia (IPAA NSW) host the CEO and Young Professionals Breakfast at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre, Darling Harbour. This year twenty (20) Pillar staff attended the event. The breakfast provided a great opportunity to network with fellow employees as well as our CEO Peter Cormack. The keynote speaker was Andrew Johnson, Executive Director of the Australian Council of Social Service (ACOSS) who discussed the challenge of social engagement and social activism in the 21st Century. |

This year's Conference of Major Superannuation Funds was held at the Gold Coast Convention Centre, Queensland and Pillar was once again the exclusive sponsor of the After Dinner Party. The Pillar Encore Bar was a huge success with conference delegates keen to party on after the Gala Dinner. Over 1,750 participants attended the ASFA Conference ‘Going The Distance’ at the Perth Convention & Exhibition Centre. The conference is the biggest event in the superannuation industry calendar and Pillar was one of over 50 exhibitors at SuperExpo. Pillar’s exhibition booth which reinforced our standing as a 100% Pure Admin company, served 100% pure orange juice to thirsty delegates during session breaks. |
